National Park
This National Park consists
of 1.067 hectares of land and 22.400 hectares of sea.
There are two information centers one on Cahuita Beach
and the other five kilometers away, on the road to Puerto
Viejo. This road leads to a camping site near Puerto
Vargas, and wich offers visitors restrooms, drinking
water and showers. A picturesque trail (7 Km. over and
back) begins at Puerto Vargas ends at Cahuita, mostly
bordering the coastline. Recommended months: February
through May and August through October. Although the
Park is open 24 hours, office hours are from 08:00 to
l6:00.
In Cahuita there are
several companies specialized in Sea and Land tours.

This Beach. Surfers
paradise, is a few minutes from Puerto Viejo. There
are restaurants and cabins. |
