Siquirres is one of the main cities of Limon Province bordered by rain forest at lowlands and clouds forest at highlands. Its name means COLORADO (red) in Cahita Indigeneous Language and temperatures range between 26 y 30ºC. The city is crisscrossed by the river of the same name, also Pacuare and Reventazon rivers flows beside the city. Siquirres born with the railroad construction and developed banana’s plantation as main grows as well as cocoa. To get to Siquirres you need to cross Braulio Carrillo National Park on the highway of the same name in a trip of 2 hours approximately full of nature wonders, passing Guapiles and others towns.
