Orosi
Valley is a place that locks many touristica attractions such
as the unique costarican colonial period church, an architectonical
jewell with an unvaluable means to the country. You can visit
the ICT Mirador, a lookout point managed by the Costarican Tourist
Bureau, that offers a breathtaking view of the valley, the Religious
Art Museum which is located in a room next to the church of the
town. In this museum you will see paints, saints, a cofre and
many other pieces of colonial art very well kept.
The church of Orosi and the Franciscan Mission are another places
to be visited. This temple was built in 1743 with mud and canes.
At downtown you will find hotels, thermal water swimming pool
places and restaurant with typical and international cuisine.
Just 6 kilimeters to the West of this town is Rio Macho Hydroelectric
Generation Plant. Also, Purisil Park with its 170 hectares of
rainy and cloudy forest where you will find lakes full of trouts,
is near to Orosi.
