| Tamarindo Beach, Guanacaste is the
most accessible location along the northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica,
with an airstrip serviced 7 days a week from San José by differents
domestic airlines. Private charter services are available as well. Scheduled
daily bus service to and from San José, as well as surrounding
communities, is available by a variety of companies. There is also a
paved highway from San José for those who wish to rent a car
and drive the countryside, about 4 or 5 hours. Elong this route are
some of the best beaches in Costa Rica, with hotels and services for
all-size pockets. There are two points of access, through Belen or through
Santa Cruz. Except for a few stretches clearly identified for fourwheel
drive only, these roads are usable all year round.
Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, is open to international arrivals, currently flights to and from Atlanta. The airport is just 45 minutes drive from Tamarindo. |
