Route A, marked on blue at the map, is driving from San Jose on the Interamerican Highway North, until reach Liberia City, then follow the way to Santa Cruz and go straight to Nicoya. From Nicoya follow the signs to Paquera Town. The trip is about 8 hours and it is the longest one. Route B, marked on purple at the map, is driving from San Jose on the Interamerican Highway North, until reach Puntarenas Town, then you will use the ferry boat to cross the Nicoya Gulf and get to Paquera town. From there follow the signs to Tambor town. You will need about 5 hours of natural beauty and exciting trip. Route C, The third way to get to Tambor is flying from Tobías Bolaños International Airport in San José to Tambor airstip. This is the shortest one and it is just 30 minutes away. |
