Located in the typical town of Pejiballe, just 20 minutes away from
Turrialba, is La Marta Biological Reserve. This huge property was thougth
100 years ago as an agriculture and milky farm. Nowadays it is one of
the studiest reserves because of its biodiversity and history.
There are different trails designed to all kind of persons, from low
intensity to moderate intensity, in which a history and nature specialized
guide will explain you all about the ecosystem you are visiting. A BBQ
lunch will serve in a place carefully built to offer you pleasure while
you are enjoying your meals. After the second hike, the Gato and Marta
rivers will waiting you to allow you swim in its refresing clear waters.
