Monteverde Coffee Tour

Learn about Monteverde's Coffee in the coffee tour where you will see the whole process, from the farm to your cup. The coffe sold under the Monteverde label is produced on small farms in the Monteverde Area, averaging of 1 hectare of coffee production per farm. The first stop is the coffe plantation. You will learn how coffee grows and is harvested. While walking in a field of shade grown coffee learn about the history of the area and the role agriculture has played in the development of Monteverde. At the processing mill, "Beneficio" in Spanish, you will see the whole process the bean goes through, from the receiving and measuring, the washing to drying naturally in the sun. Then sample our freshly brewed coffee while learning about the roasting process and how the different roasts are distinctive.

Half Day Tour   Departure: 8:00 am and 1:00 pm  Return: 4 hours latter
Includes: Visit to coffee plantation, beneficio and roaster, bilingual guide.
Wear: Confortable clothes and shoes.
