Archeological Reserve Tour
Code: CRWT-87
Guayabo
is the most extensively excavated archeology site in the country, and
it is the only Costa Rican site where restoration work has been performed.
The store and soil constructions of the Guayabo site are remains of a

of the spaniards to Costa Rica. The majority of the ruins have yet to
be excaved. Diggings have uncovered roadways and many individual items
such as monoliths and petroglyphs. The site is rurrounded by an evergreen
forest and it is located 51 miles to the East of San Jose on the slopes
