with sugar cane and coffee plants. On the town of Sarchi, which is considered
the craddle of the Costa Rican artisians, you will find the Oxcart Factory.
The Oxcart used to be main vehicle before trucks go in the country, however,
they are still used in some places of the country. The decoration of the
oxcarts was a sign of beauty and pride of the owner and it is based on
geometrical figures. This developed a group of artisians who made their
life out of construction and decoration which is very atractive to see.
