On the Central Pacific
side of Costa Rica lies this small reserv of 4,700 hectares. Its most
important characteristic is that it marks the transition between the Tropical
Rain Forest of South America and the Tropical Dry Forest of North America.
"CARARA" means crocodile's place, reptiles that can be found
on Tarcoles River that borders the reserve. The reserve is rich in evergreen
trees, palms, mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians.
The tour lasts 10 hours and it has a cost of
$79.00 and includes transportation, tour guide, breakfast box, lunch and
entrance fees.
