This eco-attraction is localetd near to Poas Volcano, just 1 hour away from San Jose and features 5 magnificent waterfalls, the largest enclosed butterfly observatory in the World, 4 kilometers of paved trails with viewing platforms, hummingbird garden, orchid garden, gift shop that boasts handcrafts from local artisans and restaurant. As you walk from the Reception Area to the dining terrace, take a moment to enjoy the hummingbirds in the welcome center courtyard garden. Each day hundreds of the flighty birds feed and play there. And you won't want to miss the butterfly display. Watch the pupa transform to butterflies in the mini-version life cycle exhibit. You will be delighted as they remove a newly emerged butterfly and release it in the Butterfly Observatory. After a long day of hiking, be ready for a buffet style lunch at the restaurant, with its indoor and outdoor dining on two levels with incredible views of the Poas Volcano Mountain Range and the La Paz River Valley.
