For this tour you will
be picked up early at your hotel and drive though the Central Volcanic
Mountain Range. The drive takes you to the town of Zarcero where you
will see one of the most beautiful topiary park in the country, completely
decorated by pine trees shaped in different figures. Descending from
the Central Mountain Range to the Atlantic plains of San Carlos, you
will be able to observe changes in the vegetation, as well as in the
farming and agricultural products, due to the changes in altitude and
wind currents.
Once at a local hotel. A brief rest, and then to have a magnificent
hike at the side of the Arenal Volcano in search of monkeys, birds,
three toe slots and a volcanic eruption. At night, with its cone orange
and red from the lava that rivulets coming down its slope, you will
have truly a sight to remember!!! But that's not all, you will also
visit the Tabacón Hot Springs Resort, where you will enjoy and
relax at this thermal water hot springs tropical paradise. The following
day, you have a hike to the Fortuna Waterfalls. Afternoon start your
drive back to San Jose by a different route passing the towns of Chachagua,
La Tigra and San Ramon, arriving at your hotel in the early evening.
