4 Days - 3 Nights

DAY 1: Pick up 8:30 am to drive from San
Jose to Arenal, passing by the towns of San Ramon, Los Angeles, La Tigra,
San Isidro, Chachagua, arriving and making the check-in at the hotel
about mid-day. After lunch, hiking the volcano's hills in search of
animals and birds. Night time visit to Tabacon Hot Springs. Overnight
at the area.
DAY 2: Four hours drive after breakfast
from Arenal to Monteverde Cloud Forest, around the Lake Arenal. Mid
-day check in and lunch at the local hotel. Afternoon visit to the Butterfly
Farm or Sky Walk, and Cheese Factory. Overnight at Monteverde.
DAY 3: Early breakfast and morning visit
to Monteverde Cloud Forest Private Preserve. Slides show and visit the
Hummingbird Gallery. Also visit the local Gift Shop. Around noon you
will be on your way down to the Mid Pacific Coast, driving by Carara
National Park and stopping to see the crocodiles of the Tarcoles River,
where birdwatching is excellent. By afternoon, check in at your hotel.
Punta Leona, Jaco Beach, Villa Lapas or similar. Overnight at the area.
DAY 4: After breakfast enjoy the facilities
of the hotel. Afternoon visit to the Carara Biological Preserve, and
drive back to San Jose in town about 6:00 pm.
