Day 01: Depart from San Jose by 8:30 am,
drive across the Central Mountain Range through coffee and sugar cane
plantations, down to the Pacific Coast, and then up to the Tropical
Cloud Forest of Monteverde. Early afternoon guided tour to the Butterfly
Farm, and visits the Souvenir Center, Coffee Store and Cheese Factory.
Overnight at a local hotel.
Day 02: early naturalist guided tour to
the Monteverde Cloud Forest, slide show and Hummingbird Gallery. The
afternoon is open for optional tours or back to make a different trail
at the Monteverde Preserve. Overnight at a local hotel.
Day 03: morning hike at the tree tops by
the "Sky Walk". Afternoon drive back to San Jose.
