4 Days - 3 Nights

DAY 1: Departure from San Jose 8:30 am
driving through San Ramon, Los Angeles, San Isidro, La Tigra, and Chachagua.
Check in at La Fortuna local hotel about mid-day. After lunch, hike
around the volcano's surroundings. Night visit to the Tabacón
Hot Springs, and volcano view. Overnight at the area.
DAY 2: Morning drive after breakfast, around
the Lake Arenal towards Monteverde Cloud Forest. Check in at local hotel
about 1:00 pm. After lunch visit the Butterfly Farm and Cheese Factory.
Overnight at Monteverde.
DAY 3: Early breakfast and naturalist guided
hike at the Monteverde Preserve and Hummingbird Gallery. Free afternoon
for optional activities like: horseback riding, gift shop, hiking near
the hotel, snake museum, canopy tour or Ecological Farm. Overnight at
Monteverde.
DAY 4: Early breakfast and visit to the
Sky Walk, after lunch return to San Jose. Driving time about 3 hours
30 minutes.
