This is a full day tour that
includes a coffee tour, volcano, waterfalls, butterflies and forest. The
tour starts when we pick you up in San Jose and drive you to "Beneficio
Doka" (Coffee Mills Company) to have a guided tour full of information
about history, harvest, process and more about coffee in Costa Rica. Then
you will enjoy a Typical or Continental breakfast. After breakfast, we
continue to Poas Volcano National Park where you will able to see one
of the largest geyser type crater in the world with gases and fumes relieased
by its impressive main crater. Also the volcano has an enchanting rainfall
lagoon which is an extinguished crater. The place is surrounded by a unique
cloud forest with very special flora and fauna. Then we will head to La
Paz Waterfall
Gardens
where you will enjoy the trails and observing platforms for its 5 waterfalls,
learn about butterflies in the butterfly display. Watch the pupa transform
to butterflies in the mini-version life cycle exhibit. You will be delighted
as they remove a newly emerged butterfly and release it in the Butterfly
Observatory. At "Las Tortillas Restaurant" will served a buffet
lunch that you would enjoy while admire the incredible views of the forest
and Central Valley. After lunch, as you walk from the restaurant to the
reception area, take a moment to enjoy the hummingbirds in the welcome
center courtyard garden, where every day hundreds of the flighty birds
