This is a full day tour that heads you to Cartago where you will have the opportunity to see the Irazu Volcano, at 11,254 feet above sea level, then you will visit a magnificent botanical garden founded by The Scientific Studies Lankester with adequated habitats as home for many species of tropical plants, including a large collection of delicate orchids. After this, the excursion keeps on going to OrosiValley which is crossed by the Reventazon River being the main source to fill the lake of Cachi Hydroelectric Dam. The history of this valley goes back to colonial times when a group of francisians priests built a church and a monastery which is now a museum where many of their documents and crafts are stored. The panoramic view of the surroundings is breathtaking.
